Jo initially joined the business in 2010 when sub-contracted by MBC Accountants as a corporate finance and strategy consultant, before joining the board full-time in 2011 as operations director.

Jo has overseen a huge restructuring of Crystal under his tenure, and the business continues to grow following a recent rebranding and relocation.

Outside of work, Jo is a family man with two young children, and is an Aston Villa season ticket holder.


Kris has been with Crystal since September 2007, and joined from Portman Building Society. He has worked in all of the teams at Crystal, and now is responsible for the Operations of the business and resolving complaints. He enjoys working with our brokers to solve problems and is passionate about service.

Outside of work, Kris enjoys music and sports, especially football and signing up for regular mud runs around the country.

Wendy started working for Crystal in January 2004, having previously worked with finances for over 30 years. She originally joined the Marketing team, working her way up to her current position of Office Manager. She is also responsible for company HR and manages all internal finances.

She has a passion for rock music, and is currently learning to play the drums. When relaxing she likes to watch B horror movies.


Anna started working for Crystal in June 2016. She is new to the financial industry, with her background being in sales and operational roles in the Leisure and Aesthetic industries.

Anna now supports the Operations and HR areas of the business, ensuring that systems and procedures are in place and adhered to while ensuring all staff are being developed via our in-house Training Academy.

Outside of work, Anna enjoys participating outdoor activities with her family and pet Labrador.

Michael has previously worked for Crystal, so when he was approached for a full-time role in the Development team it was like he never left. He’s returning to the financial sector after 10 years in Korea, where he owned an import company, as well as a sports bar and restaurant. Now back in the UK, he’s ready to take on the challenges that the ever-different property finance market brings.

Development spills into Michael’s free time as well, where he studies both permaculture design and organic farming. But it’s not all work! He’s also a keen cook, footballer and golfer.

Dan joined Crystal in May 2016 and is one of the newest additions to the team. With six years’ experience working in the financial services industry, mainly and most recently as a mortgage and protection advisor, he is now part of our Business Development team.

Dan has a passion for sports and would consider himself an adrenalin junkie. He also enjoys playing the piano when given the chance.

Daniel started working at Crystal in November 2017 as a Business Development Manager. Having previously worked in the asset finance industry, he enjoys building relationships with brokers but most of all, he loves resolving challenging and complex cases and finding the best solution for the client. Outside work, Daniel likes spending time with his family and friends as well as watching movies and playing football. .

Elle joined the New Business team at Crystal in October 2017, looking to progress her career in the finance industry. She deals with new broker enquiries and makes all the required information is taken and passed to our underwriters. Outside work, Elle’s passion is travelling and live music. She also loves spending time with her family and friends.

Toby came to Crystal in June 2009, straight after completing his Business and Marketing degree. Joining the family business, he has worked his way up to Head of Underwriting. He deals with a variety of propositions and coming up with a solution/outcome for our intermediary customers.

When not at work, Toby is an avid Aston Villa supporter and a proud season ticket holder. He also enjoys socialising and travelling.

Tom has been working in the financial sector for the past six years, beginning at high street lender Nationwide before arriving at Crystal in April 2015 as an Underwriter.

Before embarking into the world of work, he was an avid traveller, exploring Australia and Asia. Now he’s a little more grounded and enjoys football, golf, cricket, watching films and listening to music.


Crystal is Jacks’ first taste of the finance sector, having started in September 2016. Prior to joining the team, Jack worked in a call centre in the “exciting” world of frozen food distribution; so he is looking forward to every day being different in the specialist lending arena.

Away from work, Jack plays football (poorly) twice a week and enjoys nothing more than socialising with his friends over a few pints and binge watching TV shows.


Emma has worked for Crystal since January 2003, and is the longest serving employee. With a Sales and Administration background, Emma is currently an Underwriters Assistant, helping our Introducers to convert their enquiries to applications for many years.

She grew up in Hastings, but has lived in The Midlands for the past 25 years. Out of work, she enjoys live music, going to the theatre and she can make stained glass windows.

Richard started his second stretch at Crystal in February 2015, after originally joining in 2003. With 15 years in Financial Services, he has previously worked for lenders, packagers and brokers. Currently Head of Lending and Governance, part of Richard’s role is to oversee the daily running of the Lending Managers. He also continues to advise, being a fully qualified Mortgage Adviser.

Richard is a lifelong Aston Villa FC fan and spends his spare time with family and friends.

Andy began working at Crystal in March 2015, heading up the BDE team and looking after brokers in the London region. After completing his degree in Social Welfare, he went on to work in account management positions within the media marketing and distribution channels. Now Andy has joined the Processing team and is responsible for ensuring applications are processed within a timely manner and adhering to lenders guidelines and criterion.

Outside of work, Andy enjoys partaking in football friendlies with both work colleagues and friends. He is also an accomplished drummer.


Nikeeta started working at Crystal in February 2016. She has over seven years’ experience in the Financial Services industry – She has previously worked in Asset Finance, Residential Second Charges, Commercial Lending and now Regulated Term and Bridging Finance. Nikeeta progresses cases swiftly from application stage to completion by thinking outside of the box to find the best specialist products available for each client. When she is not at work, Nikeeta likes to spend time with her family.


Lexi is used to working in an office environment, but Crystal is her first step into the bustling world of specialist lending. Being new to the industry, she enjoys the challenge of getting to grips with the products, terms and brokers she encounters day-to-day. With the support of her colleagues in the processing department, she’s quickly become a key asset in her team.

When she’s not at the office, Lexi spends her time hitting the shops, dining out and grabbing the odd glass of rosé, as well as spending time with her family.


Serena moved from the retail industry to Crystal after finishing a in human resource management and marketing. Yearning for a challenge, she’s stepped into the financial services industry to push herself and create a career that she can excel in. As our loan manager, she follows residential applications through to completion.

Ever the socialite, Serena enjoys spending her free time grabbing dinner and cocktails with her friends or hanging out with her family.


Alex joined Crystal after moving back to the Midlands from London. His interest in working in the financial sector was sparked by a fascination with its impact on the economy. Despite a degree in business and economics, the specialist lending market is one that he’s yet to explore. This combined with his previous experience in hospitality gives Alex the edge when processing applications through to completion as our Loan Manager for the bridging sector.

In his free time, Alex is a bit of a foodie. He’s also a huge fan of live music and football.


Sophie joined Crystal in November 2017 as a Lending Assistant, making sure all clients documents are correct and ready for submission. Having previously worked for a facilities management company, she enjoys interacting with clients and providing first-class customer service. When she is not in the office, Sophie enjoys dining out and spending time with her friends and family.


George began his journey into finance with Crystal in January 2017. It’s taken him no time at all to settle into his role as Business Development Manager, helped by his background in sales. Looking to put down roots and develop a challenging career, his role with us is to nurture the relationships we have with our brokers and put their deals onto our system, ready to be underwritten.

When he’s not playing football or listening to music, you can find George enjoying a pint at the pub.


Dave started at Crystal in October 2007, having worked in the Financial Services industry since 2004 at HSBC and HFC. Now Head of Legal Services, he manages a small team that ensures the completions process is not delayed or drawn out. He is regularly involved in dealing with all stakeholders in the completions process until the facility is drawn down.

When he is not at work, Dave is an avid fan sports fan. He enjoys football, rugby and Formula 1 racing.

David Parke

Kamila has worked for Crystal since March 2014, having previously worked as an administrator for a Barristers Chambers legal team. She lived in London for seven years where she completed her degree. Now working as one of our Completions Managers, she specialises in unregulated term loans.

Kamila loves sports, particularly dance; having been a professional ballroom and Latin dancer for 10 years. She also likes art, music, travelling and good crime book.


Phil began working at Crystal in October 2013, previously working in a variety of roles at Birmingham Midshires for four years. He now processes Prime and Near Prime mortgage applications from post offer through to completion, resolving any mortgage and legal queries that spring up along the way.

Phil loves spending time with family and friends, and long evening walks with the love of his life (his dog). A keen football fan and Sunderland supporter, he also dislikes pears and has an irrational fear of ants.

Gavin started working at Crystal in January 2016. With 15 years of experience in IT Management and development technologies for London corporate Media and Medical based firms, he decided to bring his family to Tamworth. As IT Manager, he now spearheads the Crystal development to ensure we are ahead of the game.

Gavin loves the London sites and atmosphere, so visits the capital city whenever he can with his family.
